We invite many thought leaders to partner with us to provide our clients with the best ideas in the world. One of them is Scientific Intelligence. They work with us to define where the passion for any given vision lies among key constituents – employees, customers, vendors, unions.
Often, we find, companies implement strategies without pausing to determine if there is sufficient passion to support their chosen strategy. We call this passion “permission space”. The lack of “permission space” for a strategy is the principle reason why so many fail.
Recently, we worked with a client who is embarking on a company-wide transformation that will not only reinvent their business, but probably their entire industry. Before helping them to map out what we call their “ONE Dream®“, we undertook a series of rigorous analysis, among them a Scientific Intelligence review, to determine where “permission space” might exist that would point them towards a clear strategy. We all entertain dreams – but we often do not have the resources, talent and ambition to attain those dreams. And when this is the case, we must ask, “What resources do we need”? And, “Is the necessary passion (the permission space) present among employees, vendors, unions, regulators and customers that will be a wind behind our backs, enabling us to achieve your dreams”? “Are their hearts aligned with ours”?
If all the answers to these questions are affirmative – much of our work is already done. Riding the “permission space” to a dream creates corporate magic.
