A central theme in Lance Secretan’s books, Reawakening the Human Spirit, The Spark, the Flame and the Torch and Inspire: What Great Leaders Do is the concept of Destiny (WHY I am here), Character (how I will BE and what I will stand for), and Calling (what I will DO). To know one’s Destiny, Character and Calling – what Lance calls our “Why-Be-Do®” – is liberating, gives real meaning to our lives, and is empowering; it inspires us and therefore others. Here you can submit your “Why-De-Do®” and gain inspiration from the examples of others. Be inspired and inspiring!

Destiny (Why I am here):
I am here to build community. I am here to create connections that instill hope and optimism.
Character (How I will BE and what I will stand for):
I want to help others find a sense of mission and act on their own passions. I stand for: integrity, positivity, follow-through, connection, acceptance, respect, resilience.
Calling (What I will do):
I will facilitate difficult conversations to bring people together, help them to move forward together. I will help people find the good in a seemingly bad situation.

Destiny (Why I am here):
Change the conversation so society understands that we all add value. Especially the population of persons with disabilities and other disenfranchised parts of our society.
Character (How I will BE and what I will stand for):
Speaker, Author, Change Maker for Inclusion of Persons with Disabilities.
Calling (What I will do):
Work with multi-nationals, UN agencies and Governments to teach them to fully include persons with disabilities
