After Randy White attended one of my leadership workshops, he conducted an experiment at Raytheon, where he works. First, he asked his team to anonymously rate each other on the following “Trust” scale:
0: I trust no one here and do not feel safe to share
1-2: I trust some, but still overall do not feel safe openly
3-4: I trust most and am ok to share openly today
5-6: I trust all these people and currently do share openly
7-8: I trust all these people, share openly and can count on their support
9-10: I trust all these people and would trust them with my life
The average score was about 4.5 out of 10. Then he conducted a workshop based on the CASTLE® Principles. Then he asked them to rate each other on the “Trust” scale again. The average score soared from 4.5 to 7 – this after only a couple of hours of working with the concepts of “ONE”. Thanks Randy for showing us how spending the time to hear each other’s stories underlines the fact that we are one – the result is an increase in trust and therefore team effectiveness.
Dear One Community,
My gratitude to Randy White and to all of you , with our teleclasses. Sometimes I can’t be with you, but I listen to afterwards all of them. Nice to belong to our Community!
