A Love Story: An Intensely Personal Memoir

Relationships!

Everything is about relationships. How we relate to our partners, our children and families, our friends, our employees and customers, our bodies and our health, ideas and knowledge, our natural environment, God – indeed from the nano- to the macro-, it is all related.

My life’s work has been dedicated to the study and practice of relationships and how to make them inspiring. The success of an organization depends on whether its relationship with its customers is inspiring. Even more, it depends on whether its relationship with its employees is inspiring.

My latest book is about the most inspiring relationship of my life, the one I had with my soulmate Tricia who passed away in 2014. After losing one of my 3 daughters when she was 19, I never expected to live through such devastation again. My friend Arielle Ford has written a brilliant e-book called, Love on the Other Side, in which she points out that the French for  “I miss you” is “tu me manque” which literally translates to “you are missing from me”. Over the last 18 months, as I have been picking up the pieces of my life, I have poured my heart into this new book which is a collection of poetry and stories about the 30 blissful years Tricia and I shared together.

It’s more than a book about a relationship, or even how all relationships could be, although it is both of those. It’s also a book about how important it is to relate passionately, and in a way that inspires, with every fiber of our being, in every aspect of our lives. When Michael Bernard Beckwith, Author of Spiritual Liberation read A Love Story, he said, “Far more than a book, Lance Secretan’s A Love Story is a realm of being, a dimension of consciousness pulsating in the hearts of mystical lovers which outwardly expresses as a blessing upon the world.”

I hope you will love this book – I have loved living it. It will be available at the beginning of December 2015.
