There is so much that can be learned – both from the light and from the dark.In this wonderful video, Patrick Henry Hughes teaches us lessons about potential. Watch the video – it speaks more directly than anything I might describe to you.
Hey Lance,
That is a very moving video. None of us, and I mean none of us has any complaints about our lives based on what Patrick’s father does for him. What a wonderful tribute to one another and a story that everyone need to see during what most would call challenging times. We have no challenges!!!
In Spirit,
Greg
my daughter went through grade school with Patrick, and the kids would fight to be the one to push his wheelchair down the hall. He is truly a special soul.
But a word of reality: these folks are not saints. It is hard without sight to pick up on social queues, so it should come as no surprise that Patrick is self-centered. And it is hard to fight every step of the way to get services and accommodations, so his dad has mistaken friend from foe and mistreated his share of people along the way.
Inspirational? Definitely. The lesson? Beware of triangulations, of letting someone play the victim card to get what is rightly theirs, insist on accountability within inspiration.
Excellent. I wish presenting these stories was common practice for
national news programs.
How much better would we all be if it was?

Although Patrick is amazing, it is his Dad who touched my heart with so much love for his son. Namaste
